Can the Library Copier scan a document to a flashdrive?

Yes if you have a flash drive plugged into the USB Port. The copier can scan in color but not print in color. To scan a document to a flash drive do the following:

  • Plug your flash drive into the USB Port located on the right side of the touch screen.
  • Wait for ten seconds until you hear a beep and a new screen opens.  Click the middle box Save a Document to External Memory.
  • Next either rename the default file Name (i.e.SKM-XXXXXXXX) or leave the file name it can be renamed later.
  • Decide: File Type, Size, Simplex/Duplex, etc.
  • Place the original without staples or glue on top feeder input tray or face down on the scanner
  • Click Start to complete the job.
  • Click the Reset button after Jobs are complete.
  • Pull the flash drive out of the USB Port.
  • Verify the scans were successful by logging onto a Library computer. If the files are not on teh Flash drive they have to be rescanned. 
  • Click the File Explorer Folder at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click USB Drive (E,F, G) then search for the files by clicking Date Modified to sort the files.
  • Rename the file. by clicking the File Name then Rename.
